Well its been a while since I have posted here but I thought I should. I am in berlin performing wit hThe United Kingdom Ukulele Orchestra. Its going well and is quite fun.
Im sitting in my hotel room thinking about what Im going to do tomorrow. Should I do the tourist thing or should I stay in bed all day. Im leaning towards staying in bed all day as I don't seem to be getting as much sleep as I would have hoped.
I arrived on the 2nd and we started a three day rehersal on teh 3rd. We then changed hotels to one closer to teh venue (the Tipi). on teh day of the first night I realise I had no bow ties for my suit so I was searching like crazy to find one here or get a member to bring on over from the uk the next day and do without on the opening night.
One hour Before we were supposed to go on I went for some food at the train station (amazing tai place). As soon as I step into teh station the first thing I see is a Tie Rack and it has bow ties! Thank god.
As I mentioned before the first night was fantastic, the audience were great the sound was perfect and it was really good fun. The second night however was a totally different story. The crowd were tough but we won them over in the end. we got off te stage and the wouldnt leave so we did our encore of two songs and then got off. They still woudnt leave so we went on and did a final song. So we must have done someting right.
My friend Sophie (who blogs regularly) is probably readng this going "SO MANY SPELLING MISTAKES!!! as her blog is really well written. Mine however is shit, but I shall try to keep this up while Im gone.
I shoud be meeting wit hAlex of Luckypockets while Im here to do some busking. I am looking forward to it.
Peace love and ukulele!
